Forty odd years ago there was a rugby club. They weren’t big or glamourous – they had a clubhouse in the local park and had to rope off their pitches to play. Other teams, like Harlequins, wouldn’t give them a fixture (this was pre-leagues.) But the club had a huge heart, and devoted supporters – like me! – who’ve stuck with it through thick and thin, heartbreak and glory.
Today, that team became champions of Europe.
Saracens, here we go!
