We braved the mud and showers today for the Jubilee Sailing Trust Pumpkin Festival down at Netley (the site of the long gone military hospital, where Wilfred Owen, among others, was treated).
All that remains of the hospital is the chapel.
There was an avenue of scarecrows
of which this was my favourite:
Stonking great pumpkins, too.
And yes, before you ask, that cloud did dump its contents, but we were in a tent listening to a ukulele band by then.
